Our Story
Johan Matthee, the founder of Emfuleni Scales, and his wife Hanlie Matthee started the company in 1997 when they wanted to create a better future for themselves and their two daughters. They believed and still today believe that there is a market for affordable yet good quality scales and relating services.
In the last 23 years we have grown to a well-known scale and scale services company not only in the Vaal Triangle, but across South Africa. We delivery and service scales as far as Limpopo, Kwazulu-Natal, Northern, Eastern and Western Cape.

We seek to provide quality scales and services to all industries at affordable prices. We strive to grow our business with honesty and integrity to build lasting relationships with our customers.
Our Scales
We provide scales for the Agricultural, Industrial, Mining and General Household industries. Our scales ranges from Pocket, Kitchen, Laboratory, Bench, Fishing, Hunting, Livestock, Weighing and Counting, Medical, Money, Price Computing, Printing, Platforms, Industrial Platforms and Mechanical scales to Weighbridges and Conveyor Belt Scales.
We do also provide custom built scales for when the weighing requirements are outside the bounds of the normal range scales.
Our Services
We do not only sell scales, but also provide repairs and calibrations. These services are not limited to certain scales or makes and models.

Our Software
Living in the busy and technological era of today we have started developing custom software solutions specifically designed for the weighing industry.
We do already have weighbridge ticketing, flow rate measuring and conveyor belt production software available. We are aiming to develop livestock, piecework and price-computing(printing) managing software.
Our aim is to provide affordable and easy to use software to improve productivity of users.
